Dorian Brewer

I grew up on a grain farm in North Dakota as the youngest of six siblings. Being an active member of my community has always been my passion from church fellowship to 4-H. I enjoy reading, writing and love anything science fiction. I also enjoy antique cars and a good joke. I have lived in San Diego for over 20 years and I believe in surrounding myself with those who will push me to be better.

My passion is to be actively involved and support my community. A connected community is a strong community that understands and accepts each other for who they are as people. A few items below of which I am particularly proud are:

• LGBTQ+ business owner and survivor since 2020

• Selected to represent LGBTQ+ State Farm agent in national social media campaign

• San Diego Equality Business Association Board Member (2018-2022)

• Co-founder of Sobriety on the Sand (SOS) – not-for-profit benefiting the recovery community
